Eradicating Child Labor & Building Skills

In the vulnerable coastal belt and urban slum clusters of Khulna Division, severe poverty historically forced thousands of young children out of school and into hazardous occupations, including fish processing, metal workshops, motor garages, and domestic servitude.

RUSTIC's Program 6.2 operates a multi-tiered educational pipeline spanning Early Childhood Development (ECD), Non-Formal Primary Education (NFPE) bridging courses for dropouts, and accredited technical vocational training academies that ensure sustainable economic self-reliance.

6.2.1 Early Childhood Development (ECD) & Pre-Primary

Operating community-based joyful learning centers for 4–6 year old children, preparing them for seamless enrollment in mainstream formal government primary schools.

6.2.2 Child Labor Eradication & Urban Slum Rehabilitation

Directly identifying children engaged in hazardous labor, negotiating with employers and families, and providing accelerated non-formal primary education with mid-day nutrition.

6.2.3 Adolescent Girls Vocational Training Academy

Equipping adolescent dropouts with certified technical trade skills in tailoring, block-boutique printing, computer applications, and mobile hardware diagnostics.
